This is a two part episode. There is a huge enemy invasion coming and the MASH unit must bug out, that is, pack up everything and move to safe haven. This works reasonably well, considering the general gave false information and put the camp to the test in a much smaller window. The conflict comes when Hawkeye feels it's safe to do a dangerous back surgery on a young soldier (paralysis a possibility) who cannot be moved for 24 hours. He, Margaret, and Radar stay behind, knowing the Chinese can't be far behind. There are some fun things, including Frank being put in command of the departure (of course, he goes all Army on them). Klinger must take his wardrobe with him, and it is traded to some prostitutes for a schoolhouse that is to be used for the hospital. There is a lot tension. It's also nice when people have to work together.

Bugging out big time

Warning: Spoilers
It's hard to believe this double-length episode debuted back in 1976, just a couple of months before Carter beat Ford. This episode has its moments and suspense with the bug out of the 4077th. One disconcerting and discomforting scene was Klinger's undignified manner towards the brothel women who were being displaced by the 4077th. In one scene, Klinger was practically stomping on one poor woman.

Warning: Spoilers
After confusion about a bug out they actually have to.

Nearly everyone has their silly moments in this one .

Hawkeye, Margaret and Radar stay behind to look after a recently operated on patient they couldn't move right away.

The rest find a new place an abandoned schoolhouse now a brothel ( Frank was hoping for a bakery! ) Klinger must give up his dresses for the building to the working girls. Potter admires Kilnger's bravery .

As Hawkeye, Margaret and Radar prepare to leave the rest of the camp returns .

Too many funny bits to list all of them but it's must see!
