I want and demand Respect!
kapelusznik1822 May 2014
***SPOILERS*** Terrible disrespected and treated like dirt by his nagging wife Wilma, Deanna Ross, pint size five foot two frustrated traveling salesman Lonnie McCandless, Jimmy Murphy, puts an end to all the humiliation that Deanna threw at him by spiking her coffee with rat poison and murdering her. Having a secret love affair with Marion Ross, Lucy Karr, whom he met while doing the "Rumba" in Chicago's famed ""Calypso Club" he plans to marry her before Wilma's body is even cold.

Acting like a grieved husband who's wife killed herself doesn't wash with Let. Det. Frank Ballinger, Lee Marvin, who sees right through Lonnie's act. With no real evidence to arrest Lonnie Let. Det. Ballinger turns to Marion who's been spotted all over the night club and swinger scene with him before Wilma's " tragic" death in what was made by Lonnie to look like suicide.

***SPOILERS*** As it soon turned out Marion got word from Let. Det. Ballinger that her boyfriend Lonnie is the prime suspect in his wife Wilma's murder not death. Eeven though the evidence that the police had on Lonnie was very meager it was enough to convince Marion that her pint size and somewhat weird boyfriend Lonnie wasn't worth being with. Outraged in Marion defaming him as well as his manhood Lonnie cracks up and tries to just show her, with a 12 inch butcher knife, what a real man he his by murdering her! That's when Let. Det. Ballinger bursts in and, with him attacking Ballinger with the butcher knife, makes short work of the "Rambo" like Lonnie flipping him over and cuffing him before he can do any more damage to himself or anybody else!
