Veronica has a rival in beauty at last in Lara (Marea Lambert), who insists that's not her name.
But this episode is more than whether Veronica looks better in her sports bra or Lara in a suit that is utterly without top buttons, practically to her navel.
This is a more serious episode, exploring through metaphor what it is to be human, and for the first time since the first Tribune episode, what it means to be free and whether people (whatever kind of people) are willing to pay its necessary price. Perhaps the clichéd quote from THE MERCHANT OF VENICE is apropros.
Because I'm short the necessary number of characters I'll add that Lara is stunningly beautiful and since Veronica spends much of the episode in her work uniform (such as it is) fellows with an appreciative eye for beauty will keep that eye on Lara in this outing. She's certainly more worth looking at than the folks keeping her in bondage.
