The Ranger vs. The Drought
hogwrassler8 April 2021
The Ranger and Tonto arrive in drought ridden Mission Valley hoping to use dynamite to find water. But three prison escapees steal a priceless chalice from the mission. The base of the chalice is loose and the bad guys find a map hidden in it. Hoakie, the leader, knows that many years ago the King of Spain gave the people of the valley many riches in gold and silver. Unable to read Spanish, they force The Ranger's friend Jose to translate the directions on the map, which consist of bible verses. Tonto tries to stop them, but the outlaws overpower him and take him along to do the digging once they find the location of the treasure. The Ranger is now hot on their trail. But how can he possibly capture the outlaws, rescue Tonto, and end the drought, all in one 30 minute episode? That's a tall order, even for The Masked Rider of the Plains.
