Starting at 32:50, Dr Baker, Mr Hanson, and Ma are talking as Charles is in bed with broken ribs. They turn to leave and exit to the left side of the screen. There is only one door which is to the left side of the screen.
When Charles comes in from work and washes up for dinner, he is humming and singing, "This Land Is Your Land," which was not written until the late 1940's.
