- Timmo has a grown son coming to visit who was raised by his grandparents. Timmo has to inform Mark he is not a rancher but a bartender which Mark takes in stride. However, Mark has a chip on his shoulder and his own secret.
- Mark McQueen, Timmo's son who was raised by the boy's grandparents, is coming to visit. Unknown to Timmo, Mark had a hard life growing up and resents his father for seemingly abandoning him. Mark takes it in stride when he is told Timmo is not a rancher as Timmo wrote him. Troop recognizes that Mark has a big chip on his shoulder. Mark is carrying padlocked saddle bags adding to Troop's suspicions. That night after drinking Mark starts trouble at the Birdcage and Johnny quickly brings him down to earth in a street fight. At the end two men arrive Mark knows. He decides to ask Troop to hold the saddle bags which he says contain ore samples. Later the two men take Mark and Timmo hostage and force Troop to hand over the bags. Mark and Timmo force a scuffle allowing Troop and Johnny to take the men. Mark explains the bags contain money a dead friend and the two men stole from a bank.—Anonymous
- Timmo's son Mark comes to Laramie to see his father whom he hasn't seen since he was a boy. They have an uneasy reunion. Timmo is glad to see his son but Mark is bitter at having been left behind as a child. Two men soon ride into town who take an interest in Mark.—tomtrekp
