- Chad Kennedy, acquitted of murdering his brother, returns to Laramie from exile after 3 years. Visiting his ill father, he and sister in law both witness his father fall and die but this time she plans on seeing him hang, guilty or not.
- Chad Kennedy returns to Laramie after three years to a chilly reception. He was known to have killed his brother three years ago but was acquitted by the jury. He tells Troop he is returning home to claim what is rightfully his. At the family farm Chad's sister-in-law, Rena, shows her hatred for him as his nearly blind father falls and hits his head on a table killing him. Troop followed Chad and walks in to find Rena holding her father-in-law while saying Chad killed his father. Troop arrests Chad who protests he is innocent. In Laramie Troop questions Rena who says Chad is guilty but finally lets slip she is getting revenge for her husband's death. Troop realizes he must release Chad and tells Rena. Rena arrives at the jail with gun in hand as Chad leaves. Chad returns Rena's fire ending the dispute for both of them.—Anonymous
- A man comes home to stay after being accused of killing his own brother. During his argument with his father and sister-in-law, the father collapses and dies. The sister-in-law accuses the man of murder.
