Factual errors

Revealing mistakes

When captain cragen is in the park examining the dog skulls there is an extra in a csu jacket behind and above him on the hill in the background who slips, loses his balance and almost falls down the embankment.

Errors in geography

Cragen says (when detailing a perp's travel route) that it's a "straight shot down the Garden State Parkway to Atlantic City." In reality, you must switch over to the AC Expressway at Exit 38 off the GS Parkway and then still travel quite a bit.
When Cragen is using a marker to draw the suspect's route through Brooklyn, he mistakenly draws a line from the Gowanus Expwy to the left onto the Belt (Shore) Parkway before switching onto the Verrazzano Bridge into Staten Island. You can't go from the Belt Parkway from that direction onto the Bridge. Instead, Cragen's line should have gone to the right and continued south on the Gowanus (I-278) which goes directly onto the Bridge.
