Hank (the always terrific Jeffrey Tambor) becomes unglued and has trouble concentrating on the show as the grand opening of his cafe looms nearer.
Watching Hank get stressed out over his cafe and unravel as the pressure of said cafe's opening weighs heavily on him makes for painfully funny viewing: Hank gets into a fierce argument with guest host Martin Mull about ad-libbing stuff on the show, shamelessly plugs the cafe opening on the show, winds up scaring second guest host Burt Reynolds off after Reynolds overhears Hank screaming his lungs out, and finally meets his match when third guest host Jerry Seinfeld refuses to kowtow to his demands. In a bitterly ironic ending, Hank ultimately winds up oversleeping and thus missing the opening of his cafe. Brutally hilarious stuff.
