As the Deputy ends the first fight, the Judge is shown on his office boardwalk. But he appears at Ancient Warrior's side as Caine replaces his glasses.
As Caine cremates Ancient Warrior a second fire can be seen on the left edge of the screen.
The bartender says the way to Santa Fe is to Caine's left as he points to Caine's right.
Reversed scene: As the deputy walks out to stop the first fight, all the signs in the town read backwards. His gun is on his left hip. There is also a building with a large antenna visible on the ridge above the town. When he draws his gun, after the cut, it is on his right hip, in his right hand.
When Caine and Ancient Warrior first enter Purgatory, a Styrofoam cup can be plainly seen sitting on a windowsill as the camera pans across a building.
When Ancient Warrior lights the crematory fire of his son, as he backs away from the fire a fire extinguisher is seen on the left side of the screen.
In the first fight scene in Purgatory football-style padding can be seen under the clothes of the actor Caine throws to the ground.
