When a very active ladies man is killed, Kojak traces Lisa Waldena, a former mental patient who went to a play with him that night. She is having flashbacks about her obsessed neighbor having been there with a bloody knife. In fact, Joyce Harrington murders anyone whom he sees as a threat to the relationship he imagines he has with Lisa. At first, Kojak is not sure whether Lisa is a killer or just a witness who has been traumatized, so he befriends her, just in case. Another body is found in a barrel-Lisa's psychiatrist-and Kojak rushes to catch a killer.
