Gainsborough prison does NOT exist. Most of the series was filmed in CA. In the 1980's there were only 2 prisons that housed female inmates in California. The California Institute for Women which is a stage prison . Plus Dublin federal correctional center.
Towards the end when Bonnie and Michael are coming into town, they are in SPM. The scenery outside the car goes by just as fast when they switch back to cruise mode.
The first shot inside the Semi trailer, Bonnie is sitting at a computer of which has a view of the back. There are no cables, data or power going into the computer. The power cable socket is clear and empty.
