Devon Ericson in Knight Rider (1982)

Goofs

Deadly Maneuvers

Knight Rider

Edit

Continuity

While Michael is rescuing Lt. Ladd during the weapon testing (daytime), it's night behind Michael's back as he helps her out.
After checking the crash site when Michael is alone with KITT the 'knight two thousand' and knight logo are missing from the steering wheel.
When Michael turns KITT around to go into the FLAG semi, the road is shadow free due to overcast skies, but the ensuing shot taken from the perspective of inside the semi shows shadows and sunlit pavement.
When KITT skids to pin two MPs to a wall, the long shot shows so much sunlit pavement visible underneath that he clearly was several feet further from the wall than in the close-up that shows him snug against the MPs.

Factual errors

Several times, the term "Ordinance" is used to describe weapons (most visible on the sign by the weapons testing range). The correct term is "Ordnance". Ordinance is a term referring to civil laws.
Mr. Knight states that a tactical nuclear warhead doesn't explode and only gives off radiation. In fact, tactical nuclear warheads have an atomic warhead because of the explosive power of atomic weaponry and do indeed explode.
The Sherman tank the girl is locked into would actually be more resistant to artillery shells than KITT based on how the car was dodging shells.

Revealing mistakes

When Michael tells K.I.T.T. to go into surveillance mode while he investigates Col. Ladd's office, the view of the dash shows a cheap, hastily made prop interface with an all-white label saying "Knight 2000" where the red indicator of K.I.T.T.'s voice synthesis should be.

Miscellaneous

Mr. Knight is seen playing an Intellivision game, but with an Atari joystick. The two systems' joysticks are not compatible with each other.
How did Michael and Kitt tow the broken down car back to the base without a hitch on Kitt..When they pull out onto the street you can clearly see no ball..Maybe it hides away after use..

Crew or equipment visible

When Michael is getting the Lt. into K.I.T.T after rescuing her from being locked in a target tank, the camera crew and equipment are visible as reflections in K.I.T.T's black taillight panel.

Boom mic visible

In the scene set in the computer room, when Michael is talking to Robin, the boom pole and microphone are reflected quite clearly for several seconds in the window pane behind Robin. Furthermore, earlier in this scene the entire camera crew can be seen when the General is talking to Michael.

Character error

Near the end where the Colonel was getting into the track vehicle to get away, he tells the Sergeant to drive him away, however that Sergeant had a full beard. No military soldier can have a full beard because they interfere with gas masks.
