Plot

Carrie is asked to bake a cake for the church bake sale, but she cannot bake.

During the Christmas season, Doug and Carrie run into their Reverend, who ropes Doug into doing guard duty for the Christmas decorations at the church and also gets Carrie to bake a cake for the church. When Doug sees a fellow guarder's wife bring him hot soup to help warm him from the outside cold, Doug starts to feel that Carrie doesn't do enough "wife stuff". Meanwhile, Arthur and Spence decide to try to write a Christmas song.

Doug and Carrie are roped into helping out at their church during the holidays: he guards the manger while she tries to bake a cake. Also, Arthur and Spence attempt to write a Christmas song so they can cash in on the holiday, but soon realize it is going nowhere and decide to try writing songs for other holidays.
