Trouble at T'Mill
Prismark1019 February 2019
John Barrett play curmudgeonly Israel Smethurst. A lollipop man who uses his stop sign to fight the class war. He likes to stop the police panda cars when they come near him and he has a passion to make Ted Galway's (Alan Lake) life difficult. Keeps him waiting for ages as he makes sure that all and sundry have crossed the road safely.

Galway makes out to be a self made man. He owns a Rolls Royce and lives in a mansion. He has political ambitions and even hangs around with the fox hunting crowd. This is like a red rag to a bull to a staunch socialist like Smethurst.

Unfortunately for Galway, when his old London mate comes up to see him. Inspector Jean Darblay thinks that the rumour that Galway made money through dodgy dealings must be true. His friend has tattoos in both arms.

Not sure this would be deemed to be essential Saturday night viewing these days.

I found it laughable that Galway drove his Rolls Royce just to get to the train station. Anyone could damage it while he left it there.

Also given that people have started to question how Galway made his money, with Smethurst hounding him. It was not a good time for Galway to get up to no good with his London connection. They have tattoos in both arms after all!
