Gina: Okay, just... make sure you're nice to her.
Joey: Yeah, but not too nice.
Gina: Compliment her.
Joey: Ignore her.
Gina: Compliment her, then ignore her.
Joey: Yeah.
Michael: Okay...
Gina: Make sure you ask her name.
Joey: And then call her a different name.

"Maybe someone here wants a woman from the 80's"
After a solid pilot episode it was interesting to see how the Joey spin-off would continue.
This is a good episode of the show, with a smart script by creators/exec-producers, Shana Goldberg Meehan and Scott Silveri, that sees Joey trying to teach Michael how to pick up women.
I thought the character of Gina was probably the funniest here, with Drea De Matteo having some great lines.
The 'Alex is the super' subplot was OK, and at this stage it looked like Alex could fill the 'friend' void for Joey, and that probably would've worked better long term than her being a love interest.
These early episodes of the spin-off show the direction the creators intended to go in, and it had potential. It's a shame that they'd later change direction and the potential be lost.
