- The show opens with Jack forgoing his regular monologue and introducing guest star Carol Burnett, who does a hilarious strip tease act. Then Carol sings "The Trolley Song". Don Wilson brings his son Harlow on stage to meet Carol, whom he worships. Then Carol reveals that the previous night she was watching Tarzan and dreamed what it would like to be Jane. The show then switches to a sketch where Carol (as Jane) tells her parents while on an African safari that she has fallen in love and will not return with them. Then Jack (as Tarzan) swings in to sweep Jane off her feet to marry her. The scene then jumps to twenty years later, when the couple can't stand the sight of each other. Tarzan complains to Jane that they never have fun anymore. Jane responds by throwing a boulder at Tarzan, which catches Jack off balance and causes him to fall backwards, hurting his left hand in the fall. Ever the showman, Jack continues without a hitch. Tarzan tells Jane he's invited three friends over for dinner and then three gorillas arive and sit down at the table. After dinner, Tarzan decides to play the violin for everybody, which causes a stampede. Finally, Jane packs a suitcase and tells Tarzan she's leaving him. His reply is that she should think about what it will do to their son. Just then Harlow enters playing Tarzan, Jr. and wants to know where his mommy's going. Tarzan answers "She's going on a nice trip" to which Jane replies "Strip!" and Carol resumes her strip tease number.
