When Bud points out that Mac is wearing heels and they might be on problem with the kneeknockers on the O-4 Level, he is wrong. There are no kneeknockers on the O-4 Level as that is the flight deck and the lowest level on the inside of the island. The kneeknockers are on the O-3 Level. Actually, the heels would be more likely to be a problem when going down ladders.
When LCDR Rabb and MAJ MacKenzie question the Command Master Chief (CMC), he is wearing a gold SWO (Surface Warfare Officer) insignia above his left breast pocket. Contrary to popular belief, not everything a Chief wears is gold. He should be wearing a pewter ESWS (Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist) insignia instead. SWO is for officers, not enlisted. A closer study of the insignia also will reveal the cutlasses on the ESWS are curved while the SWO swords are straight.

Also the ceremony is an unofficial tradition, it is just for fun, sailors are not required to participate, if she didn't want to do those things she didn't have to, no one is forced to participate.
When Master Chief Sullivan delivers a quote regarding naval traditions, Harm identifies the quoted as "Fleet Admiral Chester A. Nimitz." Admiral Nimitz's middle initial was W, not A.
