In what appears to be an insider joke, Harm presents evidence of a marriage to a fictional Annabelle Carter of Nashville, Tennessee. "Mother" Maybelle Carter was a country musician and a well known member of the historic Carter Family; she was also the mother of June Carter Cash and the mother-in-law of Johnny Cash. She long lived in the Nashville area; her grave is in Hendersonville, in the suburbs of Nashville.
Nick Tate who portrays the judge at Kevin Tate's trial, was a previous guest star on JAG: he portrayed Jimmy Blackhorse Jr. in The Return of Jimmy Blackhorse (1998).
At the time this episode was made, Luna Park was effectively not open but was permitted to operate for various charity-organised events. In late 2000 and early 2001, the park was also permitted to open on selected weekends and school holidays under strict, court-appointed conditions.
