In the first scene, with the lead David Vincent, we see a guy in the hotel lobby, a guy with a "normal" hand, with his fingers like yours and mine - for those who perfectly know the series, they'll know what I mean by that - and in the sequence afterwards, just a few seconds, the guy in question suddenly shows an "invaders's hand", with his little finger stiff - those same who know the series will also know what I mean.
Someone remarks that the first hurricane was really bad, covering about six--hundred (600) square miles, which would only make the hurricane twenty-eight (28) miles across. That is too small to be a major hurricane. Hurricane Andrew which was a very compact powerful storm was fifty (50) miles across and it was very small as hurricanes go.
An establishing pan of the waterfront (after David Vincent is subdued in the Church) shows the shadow of the barrel of the wide-angle lens used for the shot in the lower-right corner of the frame.
When John takes Father Joe's car to take Vincent to the police in Tampa, the rear driver window gets rolled up as they are leaving the church, reflection of camera is seen in that window.
Early in the show they say the hurricane could have traveled up the east coast of the United States hitting major cities. Later, Luis says the second hurricane will be worse than the one that hit Tampa. Tampa is on the west coast of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico, not the east coast.
At the dock the doctor says he hopes they aren't in for another storm, but the hurricane did not hit their town which is one of the reasons David Vincent went there. The suspicious boat in the eye of the hurricane came from that town leading Dr. Gantley to remark how strange it was that a boat from the town and the town were both spared.
