Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman in I Dream of Jeannie (1965)

Goofs

My Master, the Spy

I Dream of Jeannie

Edit

Factual errors

The French general tells Dr. Bellows that he sees Major Nelson in an American Air Force uniform, NASA insignia, and wearing astronaut wings. The only NASA item Tony wears is his photo ID, which he did not wear at the cafe, but he was wearing in the NASA conference room. The difference between Pilot wings and Astronaut wings is a device so small the General could not be able to tell from the distance he was from Tony.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Jeannie blinks the uniform onto one of the robbers he is hit in the head by another robber, but in the next scene you see the same robber back in his original clothing. Incorrectly regarded as a goof. The only reason to blink the uniform on the robber was so that the other robber would mistake him for Tony and hit him. Once that was done, there was no reason to keep him in the uniform and so Jeannie obviously blinked him back in his normal clothes.

Character error

A photo is taken of Major Nelson and Jeannie at the cafe. Jeannie is visible in the foreground even though it has been established that she cannot be photographed.
The French military official in Paris, on the phone, speaks with a strange, non-French accent. The actor is off & on rolling his R's, the rest of the time speaking American R's. There is no rolling of the R's in French, that is typically Spanish (and Italian, and Russian). The French speak either guttural R's, which come from the depths of the throat and echo in the center of the mouth and palate, or trill their R's, which is also comes from the throat but is done with the tip of the tongue and is pushed forward---basically the reverse of a Spanish R, which is aspired towards the back, from the front.
