- The Heroes have to figure how to get a new type of rocket back to England.
- At the start, Hogan, Baker, Newkirk, and LeBeau are in commando black with an Underground agent. The agent is pointing them to the objective. They are looking for a rocket and warhead which has landed intact nearby. It is covered with branches. Hogan has Carter check it out. It is too big for a V-1, and too small for a V-2. Hogan asks Carter to take it apart in parts small enough to get into camp. Carter says that it is welded, and he will need a blowtorch. They do not have time for that. Carter suggests that they cover it back up until they find a way to get it into camp. Hogan tells them to cover it back up.
The next day, in the barracks, Hogan is talking about the rocket with Baker, Carter, Newkirk, and LeBeau. Schultz comes in. He says that a beautiful woman has come into camp. Carter asks him if it is Kate Smith. Schultz says that it is the Russian woman Marya. LeBeau wants to look out the door, but Hogan won't let him. They all think that it is trouble when Marya shows up. Shortly later, Klink, Marya, and a guard come to the barracks with a rocket scientist Dr. Otto von Bornemann and two assistants. Marya told Klink that Hogan is a rocket expert. She convinces Klink and von Bornemann that she wants to talk to Hogan alone, in his office. Once in his office, Marya wants Hogan to kiss her. Hogan declines, and thinks that she has finally sold out to the Germans. Marya thinks that Hogan knows where the rocket is. After some convincing, Hogan apparently tells where the rocket is.
Later, a truck towing a trailer brings the rocket in to camp on the trailer. Schultz tells Hogan that they found it right where Hogan said they would.
In the barracks, Hogan apologizes to the men about him telling where the rocket was. Schultz comes in and says that Marya wants to see Hogan in Klink's quarters. He goes there. Marya talks with Hogan about stealing the rocket. She wants to send the rocket to Moscow, Hogan wants to send it to London. Hogan tells her that he felt better when they were enemies. He then kisses Marya.
Later, von Bornemann is in a building working on the rocket with his two assistants. Klink asks if he has more room outside. Klink starts looking over Von Bornemann's shoulder. Von Bornemann said that he has had only one accident, that was when some dummkopf was looking over his shoulder.
That night, Hogan, Newkirk, Baker, and LeBeau come out of the dog house tunnel entrance with a 4-wheel hand cart. Marya goes to the building where the rocket is. She distracts the 3 guards; she has them lined up and standing at attention. Carter, Baker, and Newkirk knock the guards out, apparently coming up behind them while they are not looking. Hogan then ties up and blindfolds Marya. He tells her that he plan has three chances of succeeding: dim, dimmer, and dimmest. She then tells Hogan that Major Hochstetter will be coming to camp regarding the rocket. Hogan says that the chances are now dimmest. Marya says that Hogan forgot to hit her and knock her out; Hogan gives her a pistol and tells her to do it herself.
Hogan, Carter, Baker, Newkirk, and LeBeau wheel the rocket to the barracks on the hand cart. Schultz is sleeping by the door; LeBeau moves Schultz aside so they can get the rocket in. Schultz is still asleep.
Marya then yells, and von Bornemann comes to the building. He sees Marya tied up, and releases Marya and the guards. He finds the rocket gone. Where did it go to? Marya remembers hearing the word 'rec' or 'recreation'. Von Bornemann asks if 'recreation' was the word. Klink says that they took the rocket to the recreation hall.
Klink, von Bornemann, and 3 guards go to the recreation hall, but do not find it. Marya then comes to the recreation hall. She says that she heard another word 'bakery'. Von Bornemann, Klink, and the guards go to the bakery. Marya asks Schultz why he is not going; Marya will watch the barracks.
Major Hochstetter and 2 Gestapo guards come to STALAG 13 and question von Bornemann on the rocket. Klink tells Hochstetter that he is spending every effort to find it. Hochstetter refers to it going out through the front gate. Klink says that if it did, it was without his permission. Hogan comes to Klink's office. Hochstetter says 'Vat iz zis man doink here?' Hogan tells Hochstetter that he saw men taking it out through the fence.
Hogan takes Marya, von Bornemann, Hochstetter, Klink, and Schultz to the fence. A section of the fence falls down. Hochstetter wants every man to go out in search of the men who stole the rocket. He tells Hogan to stay behind. He then has Schultz stay there also. He then goes out through the hole in the fence alone with his pistol drawn.
The rocket is seen upright in the recreation hall. Hogan asks Newkirk about the roof; Newkirk pulls on a rope and says that it will move out of the way when needed. Marya and von Bornemann then come to the recreation hall. Marya still wants to rocket to go to Moscow. Hogan flips a coin, heads is London, tails is Moscow. it comes up heads, London. The two assistants are being held at gunpoint and also agree on London. Hogan tells von Bornemann that he will pilot the rocket. Fly to England and land in the Thames, and bail out. Von Bornemann says that he told the V-3 pilots that there is an ejection mechanism, but there really is not one. Hogan tells von Bornemann that he will be the first German kamikaze pilot.
At the end, the rocket takes off slowly. The recreation center seems to still be there. Marya, Hogan, Baker, Newkirk, and LeBeau are with the two technician assistants in the barracks. He tells Marya that she can say that 3 scientists committed suicide by blasting off in their own rocket. The two assistants will be taken to England through the normal channels.
Hogan tells that story to Hochstetter and Klink in Klink's office. Hochstetter says that Berlin will not be happy that they lost the rocket. Hogan tells Hochstetter that he may have lost a super-weapon, but Hogan lost the recreation hall. Hochstetter then tells Hogan that one of these days he will go too far.
