The gunman fires three shots: once to Tessa, who is struck in the heart; twice to Richie who is hit in the shoulder and the stomach. Only Tessa is shot fatally, but Richie dies anyway.
Duncan tells Ritchie he has never been married. In Highlander: Endgame, he rediscovers Faith/Kate, who was married to Duncan centuries ago.
