- Three convicts have escaped from Yuma prison. One, Kolos, is a foreign national who does not speak English well but thinks the other two men are his friends. They come across a gypsy sheep herder's camp where they steal food and horses. A girl spots them and tries to run away but encounters Mitch. She trips and falls over a cliff. After the fall kills her, Mitch tells Kolos that under American law he is to blame. The three find Big John camping. Using Kolos as a distraction, they knock Big John out and trade Kolos's prison stripes for Big John's clothes. Big John is left to be found by the herders to take the blame for the girl's death. Kolos is sent to Tucson to collect $15,000 they hid in a Wells Fargo safety deposit box before going to prison. Buck, Manolito and Blue spot Big John's horse and Kolos in Big John's clothes. They track down what happened to Big John but Mitch and Cable return to take the key from Kolos to retrieve the money. The two are captured at Wells Fargo. The group leaves to rescue Big John who Manolito found with the herders. Buck has to work through the language barriers to rescue Big John and yet return the stolen money.—Anonymous
