SATURDAY WARRIER, SATURDAY JEWEL THIEF?
Robert Conrad co-wrote this dramatic and sentimental story, and did an excellent job. It's all about an old pal and fellow high school football hero who is caught up with jewel thieves. Tom refuses to believe it... but there's more to the story and many people who seem to implicate his old pal. Lots of atmosphere and suspicious faces to go around, which we all love.
Richard Dovalos guest stars as Glen Thompson, and in a very good dramatic role. He had recently co-starred in the cult horror film, CABINET OF CALGARI as Mark. Popular tv actor Steve Inhat plays Clay, in an early role.
Don't miss Cricket singing "Til We Meet Again." she is memorable, as always. A nice break in the action.
Directed by Robert Totten, who later headed several episodes of GUNSMOKE. Looks to have been partly filmed at Burbank High School, the bleacher section, which hasn't changed too much.
The ending is not to be missed, and Robert Conrad is spot on in the finale scene. SEASON 4 EPISODE 5 remastered WB.
