James Olsen plays the leader of a small group of Neo-Nazis. Now my first thought was how insanely ridiculous this is considering that the Hawaiian islands are filled with Hawaiians, Chinese-Americans and Japanese-Americans. Only about 24% of the place is composed of White folks--and many of these aren't the Aryan sort either! So, at the outset the show does lose a point for believability.
The Neos come to the attention of Five-O because their pin-headed leader has been making threatening phone calls to a native Hawaiian politician. Later, the guy even tries to run over the politician's kid--squashing the kid's dog in the process! However, McGarrett doesn't have enough to make a case so he sends Danny to join this group of low-lifes. After a setup where Danny saves the 'Commander' from getting beaten up by a Black guy (complete with Danny uttering some interesting racial epithets), he's taken in to the organization. Can Danny get the goods on these guys or will they discover the ruse and liquidate him?
Overall, this is still a very enjoyable episode--provided you turn your brain off and ignore the silliness of Neo-Nazis in Hawaii. Olsen is a good actor and seeing him is always a plus. Also, even though it's far from perfect, considering how terrible most shows were during season 11--and they were often really, really bad. It's a shame, as seasons 1-10 were exceptional.
