After Paladin finishes reading the entry in the encyclopedia for "Phrenology", he moves on to the next entry of "Phlogiston". Alphabetically, the order would be reversed.
One of Holden's men is blocking Palladin at the top of the stairs. Palladin kicks the wall and the man falls and grabs his knee as though that's where the kick landed.
