Mark and Hardcastle take a group of misfit kids to a local prison in order to scare them straight; but while they are there, they are taken hostages by prisoners who are frustrated because of the repeated abuse from the guards and the warden.
Hardcastle and McCormick is a perfect blend of action, humour and drama, and has the fantastic banter and the chemistry between Brian Keith and Daniel Hugh Kelly is just perfect, but all these things are glowing even more in this brilliant episode which has our heroes held hostage by prisoners baying for blood and justice. The prisoners want justice as the warden and sheriff were using the prisoners to conduct crime on the side. Of course, some of the prisoners want to just escape, which has our heroes fleeing while chained. The plot is solid, the build up is well done.
The one liners are sublime, especially from McCormick, and had me laughing, but at the same time this episode touches upon the issues of prison treatment. Enjoyed this one thoroughly. Interesting idea of having McCormick return to his former abode and Hardcastle going somewhere no one would ever imagine him being- behind bars. Well, at least briefly.
