This episode contains footage from the Love American Style episode Love and the Happy Days.
The series was based on the "Love, American Style" episode 'Love and the Happy Days'. It was also decided to go ahead with "Happy Days" after the huge success of George Lucas' "American Graffiti" which also starred Ronny Howard. 1950's nostalgia made an enormous comeback in the early 1970's.
The title is based on the 1923 song "Who's Sorry Now?" written by Ted Snyder with lyrics by Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby and was sung in the Marx Brothers' movie A Night in Casablanca (1946).
