I remember Happy Days from ages and ages ago, and it's hard to believe this episode debuted over 40 years ago. Anyway, this episode is kind of like life imitating art imitating life, with Richie (Ron Howard) returning to declare to his parents that he and his family were moving to Hollywood so he could pursue his dream as a screenwriter, much to the chagrin of his parents. In real life Ron Howard had already become a rising director as the director of Night Shift, so he was on his way big time. But it's nice that Ron acknowledged his Happy Days family to return for a two-part episode before continuing his Hollywood trajectory.
