Good-natured rancher Mike (Pyle) is getting hitched to Tilda (Crane), and all Dodge is happy. Except Mike doesn't know Tilda's an ex-saloon girl and has been carrying on with one of his ranch hands, Plummer (Williams). Now Plummer's jealous and intends to disrupt things. But Mike's only jovial up to a point, after that he turns into a real bear. So Matt's got a problem.
The basic idea of a good man getting riled and jeopardizing his future is a good one. But, I'm not sure I buy the wrinkle with Plummer's buddy Webb (Johnson). Familiar actor Pyle is tailor made for Mike's part, ditto the rather plain-faced Crane. Then too, Chester's getting tipsy at the wedding reception is a real hoot. Plus, the final alley scene is well staged, while Matt's reaction seems apt in a thoughtful way. On the whole, another good drama from the outstanding series.
