Bohannan is a practicing faith healer who believes in his powers to heal. In Dodge City he is at first challenged by Doc Adams as a charlatan, but Doc later comes to understand the deep psychological basis of Bohannan's work. The two men join forces in dealing with the incurable condition of young Heck Walden.
