Summaries

  • The gangster who murdered Britt Reid's father returns to the city, after faking his death. A sleazy private investigator is murdered before he can deliver proof, so The Green Hornet picks up the investigation.
  • A sleazy PI basking on a yacht is dragged under and drowned by frogmen. The PI had just visited Britt Reid, alleging that a dead gangster who framed Reid's father had faked his death and is now back in town, and offering to sell the publisher further information. Reid didn't believe him THEN, but now suspects a zillionaire confined to a yacht is involved. The coroner rules the drowning accidental, tying the DA's hands and forcing Reid to adopt his Green Hornet criminal persona to apply pressure. Reid also dispatches his secretary to rifle the PI's office for what he had tried to sell, but she is caught in the process by thugs, and attempts to protect herself and her boss by claiming to be the dead man's kept-in-the-dark secretary. Nevertheless they take her to THEIR boss, the wealthy recluse, who believes her but adds that she now knows too much about him to be set free. The next morning a young woman is found dead in the harbor.—David Stevens (& Ted Watson)
  • A shady P.I. Is on his boat when some frogmen jump out of the water and pull him over. Britt learns of the man's death and wonders if it has something to do with his recent visit wherein he claims to have evidence that a criminal who's believed to be dead is alive and in the city. Which he didn't believe but now he wonders. So he sends Casey to the man's office to look for the evidence. Britt goes to talk with Scanlon and doesn't believe it and tells Britt the man's not reliable. Britt chooses to pursue it because the criminal was one of the ones who framed his father. He changes into the Green Hornet and goes to the man's office and finds that it's been tossed and they find microfilm in Casey's shoe Britt goes to the marina and learns the body of a woman was found. He learns it's a woman who's "friends" with a wealthy businessman.Britt thinks he knows what's going on and tries to find out if he's right and to find Casey.—Rcs0411@yahoo.com
