When the Goodies arrive outside Parliament they find parking is reserved for MPs only, so they hang a fake number plate NAB 1 on their trandem. This was a personalised plate belonging to Conservative MP Sir Gerald Nabarro (he also owned NAB 2 through NAB 8) and was in the news at the time because the car bearing that number had been seen driving the wrong way at a roundabout. Though Sir Gerald claimed his secretary had been driving, he was found guilty and fined £250, though he was later cleared on appeal.
