Dorothy has had a hotel fall on her.

Warning: Spoilers
The return of Bea Arthur as Dorothy Petrillo Zbotnak Hollingsworth begins on "Golden Palace" as it ended on "Golden Girls": with a group hug. But the happy reunion is short-lived as the sharp-tongued Dorothy decides that Sophia is working too hard and wants to take her back to Atlanta with her. Sophia is upset by being fought over and makes a drastic decision. Meanwhile, Chuy is happy over his final divorce and goes out to party, coming back a bridegroom.

While it's good to see Dorothy, she's crankier than ever and proves herself not to be good at customer service, dealing with a fussy customer with great rudeness. She also sets up a situation that could have been resolved in a bit more of a rational way like they used to. Bea does a great job of course (she always did with weak material), but perhaps she was reminded of"Amanda's by the Sea", the short-lived sitcom that was nearly identical to "Golden Palace". The writing makes her seem out of place, and that makes for a disappointing reunion.
