What's stopping the girls from trying to cash the bad check right after leaving the house? Furthermore, what's stopping the girls from cashing a good check and then not showing up at the courthouse? One possible reason is Blanche might have post dated the check until after the court date. They would have to uphold their end of the bargain before they could cash the check in that scenario.
