- [first lines]
- [the station agent changes the stagecoach's arrival time from 10 a.m. to "late"]
- Pat Buttram: How late?
- Station Agent: Don't ask me. The telegraph wires have been cut. We haven't had a report on that coach since it left Bisbee.
- Pat Buttram: Well, who cut the wires?
- Station Agent: Don't ask me that neither. You ask Geronimo.
- Pat Buttram: If they can get to San Dimas, I can get to San Dimas.
- Station Agent: They'll be lucky if they can get here to Tombstone.
- Pat Buttram: I know, but there's a United States Marshal ridin' on that coach.
- Station Agent: What good is one marshal?
- Pat Buttram: You don't know who he is - I do. And he's plenty good.
- Gene Autry: You don't have to talk, mister. That's your constitutional right.
- Julius Smithers, pawnbroker: Suppose I want to talk?
- Gene Autry: That's also your constitutional right.
- Gene Autry: Let me see that money belt.
- Cliff Barton: Sure!
- [Cliff reaches into his coat to grab his pistol]
- Gene Autry: I said the money belt, not the gun belt.
