One of the Best!
Movie-ManDan2 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This has always been one of my favourite episodes in the entire show, not just this season. This is about reminiscing, and why and how Danny and Joey have remained friends for so long. In this, we get it all in just the right spots.

After a while of doing jingles together, Danny feels left out of the trio. Danny and Joey's lifelong friendship is what the strain is put on the most. We then get a five minute flashback to the day Danny and Joey first meet: grade 5 in 1968. Joey moves to a new school where he gets in trouble for bringing in clowns. He happens to sit beside an injured Danny on a bench where a bully comes back to pick on Danny some more. Joey uses some of his comedy to defend Danny, then Danny defends Joey back from the bully and the teacher. From that point on, they did everything together.

The subplot features Stephanie's boyfriend Harry falling for DJ. This subplot is hilarious as heck!

The high point of the episode is the flashback scene. The kid that plays Danny looks exactly like him. The Joey and Jesse kids don't bear striking resemblance, but are still perfect in how to play their older counterparts. That's right, Jesse is in the flashback. He was crazy about girls even in kindergarten.

One thing I love about this is how personal I connect with this. There's a few friends of mine in my lifetime whom I have been friends with for almost 20 years. I'm catching up to Danny and Joey.

If there is a flaw, it is the ending.

Friends forever

Fighting, arguing, memories, hugging, loving...it's about all there is to this episode. This is one of my least favorites. I was always under the impresison that Jesse and Joey didn't know each other when they were growing up. Danny and Joey were friends, but I don't believe Jesse really fit into the equation until Danny married Pam (but I could be wrong)

You get a glimpse of the three men as kids, but little more. I just watched it yesterday, yet already I've forgotten exactly what this episode was about. In the end, Jesse is accepted into their pack, but I just found it all a little unbelievable.
