The One Where Joey Feels Unwanted...
taylorkingston28 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoy this episode. It's funny, it's creative and I just feel so bad for Joey, but then I feel really happy for him.

In this episode, Joey feels unwanted, unneeded, and rejected by the rest of the household. He gets a comedy job and has to leave the city for a few days, and the family are more than happy to send him off. But what's really happening is another story. They're actually planning on surprising him with a space of his own, instead of just the alcove. They redid the basement and turned it into a lovely bedroom. And when Joey comes back, all ready to move out, he is so happy about what the family has done for him. Meanwhile, Jesse realizes that what Joey does all day, taking the care of the kids and the household, is not an easy job at all.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.

Being Loved
mitchrmp5 December 2013
Joey feels that things are finally going well for him. He has a chance to do a two week gig, but he's afraid the family won't survive without him. With Danny and Jesse both having jobs, a lot of the child care and household chores falls on him. But everyone is super nice and gives him a great send it. It almost feels like they were trying to get rid of him.

While he's gone, Jesse quickly learns that Jesse does a lot for the family. Joey's job is not an easy one, and he doesn't even have his own space in the house! He's just been tucked into the living room's alcove. But Danny and Jesse decide it's time to give Joey his own space.

When Joey comes home, he's mad and hurt when he finds out all his stuff is put in the garage. It's a very good episode!

I love all the television and song references that are put throughout this show! In this episode, Jesse watched People's Court, and refers to himself as June Cleaver.

Oh Joey!

Warning: Spoilers
Joey is set to go on tour for his comedy. He rehearses in the garage with D.J and feels rather lonely and unwanted. Things get worse when the family acts way too jubilant about him going away for two weeks. Joey feels the family doesn't care about him anymore. What Joey doesn't realize is, they care very much and Danny and the gang are preparing a special room for Joey. Now we're rocking! After a few mediocre episodes in the first season, this show is beginning to hit it's stride. They have kept the idiocy and goofiness to a minimum, combining laughs and serious situations to maximum effect. Up until this juncture, we see a sensitive side to Joey we hadn't seen before and I felt it was moving to watch. Friends and family come first, no matter what people may think. Any person with a heart will probably be moved by the ending. It was pretty awesome. Jesse's "wife attitude" tries to come across as amusing, but it became redundant and overlong. Overall, I liked this episode

Additonal Note: At one point, D.J mentions she has a Banarama poster, which is seriously awesome. 80'S ALERT! You have no idea how much I miss the 80's as far as movies and TV shows are concerned

Gets Me Every Time.
Movie-ManDan4 March 2016
AS I said, I have seen every episode of Full House so many times. There's only a few episodes that get the same result out of me every single watch. Joey's Place is one of those few.

Most families are comprised of a mother and a father--two parents. Full House has three, is that needed? The non-blood relative in this case isn't needed, but he is loved and wanted. In the Tanner house, Joey has no privacy and no space for his things since he lives in the living room's alcove. Joey's latest comedy tour proves to be perfect timing to build him his own room by converting the garage into one huge room. Joey starts to feel unwanted, but it is just to catch him off guard when he returns. Jesse works for his father, so he is easily able to take some time off and fill in for Joey while he's away. He learns how stressful Joey's jobs can be.

When Joey comes back, he is starstruck to see his new room. He is touched by the gesture and he sees that the family really does want him there.
