Freaks and Geeks

Edit

Continuity

In the cafeteria while Nick is playing guitar, Daniel's sitting position changes from resting back to leaning towards the table between shots.
Millie says she is fifteen, but in "Beers and Weirs" she offers someone who thinks they are drunk a ride home, which would mean she had to be at least sixteen. It's highly unlikely Millie would drive without a license.
In the first scene, Harold's eyeline switches between shots after his line, "I'm sure it's terrific."

Factual errors

At Goliath's burial, it is revealed that the dog lived from 1965 to 1981. However, since Goliath is a Great Dane, he would have an average lifespan of 6-8 years, which would make it very unlikely for him to have lived 16 years.
It is mentioned that the gang are going to a Who concert in Detroit. Nick also mentions that he saw them in Indianapolis 2 weeks earlier. In 1980, the Who played 5 Midwest U.S. cities (April - May), none of which were Indianapolis or Detroit.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Bill Haverchuck is seen watching the daytime t.v. show "Dinah" during the spring of 1981. The show "Dinah" went off the air in September 1980. However, this could be a recording.

Anachronisms

Modern vehicles can be seen driving behind Millie's mom when she confronts Millie before The Who concert.
Bill is pictured with a tub of "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter." "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" was not sold until 1986.
Millie is seen wearing a tee shirt depicting the cover of The Who's 1994 box set, "30 years of Maximum R & B." This is an anachronism since the episode is supposed to be set in the spring of 1981.
Bill Haverchuck says that he has seen Stripes, in the spring of 1981. The movie wasn't released until June 1981.
This episode is set in the spring of 1981 and Nick tells Daniel and Ken that he saw The Who live in Indianapolis two weeks prior. This is impossible because The Who never toured the United States in 1981 and The Who never played in Indianapolis until 1982.

Errors in geography

When Coach Fredricks takes the boys to the go-kart track, large palm trees can clearly be seen on the horizon. However, the show takes place in Michigan where the climate is unsuitable for these tropical plants.

Character error

When Lindsay is talking at Goliath's funeral, she mentions that her mother would come over wearing fur boots and Goliath would hump her feet. She then goes on to mention that Goliath was spayed. This term is gender-specific to female pets.
