George has disappeared, and so has £50,000 from the business he works at, nobody knows where he is, but it's possible that he's died.
Pretty good, although I'd class this as my least favourite episode of the first series so far, definitely less elaborate, this was a more routine, paint by numbers plot. I'm not sure there was any sense of mystery here, I think we all probably guessed the outcome.
I'm not even too sure that Gamble and Hicks got the best deal here either, nothing really sprang to life here. The best element for me, had to be....
...Jan Waters, she was really good here as Joy, she made the character very authentic, very ditzy and scatty, but believable, I had to check that it wasn't Deborah Watling, very similar, the voice in particular.
6/10.
