Gamble and Hicks, in colour.
Sleepin_Dragon7 June 2022
Elderly Gentleman Peter Taylor informs Gamble that a woman has conned him out of his savings, when Gamble interviews her, he finds she's living in a very bizarre household.

The first thing to notice, it's in colour, we've moved into the seventies, around the time when the switch from black and white to colour was happening, it was quite exciting to see it in colour. It's almost as if visually the show moved forward a decade, plenty of seventies styles and fashions.

The second thing, the wonderful cast, there are multiple familiar faces here, Arthur Brough of Are you being served fame, Carry on's Dilys Laye, and Hilary Mason.

I really enjoyed this story, best episode of the three opening episodes from series two. Very much a procedural story, and a domestic case, but it works. Is this the first time they're dealing with a death? I think so, that makes a difference.

Enjoyed this, 8/10.
