Linguist Marc Okrand, creator of the Klingon language, was hired to provide the authentic Klingon language version of Frasier's bar mitzvah speech. While four words were accidentally omitted in the aired episode, it is still valid Klingon.
This episode actually aired 13 years and three days after the character Frederick was born during the "Cheers" episode "The Stork Brings a Crane (1989)," which aired November 2, 1989.
There is, of course, a well-known connection between Star Trek lore and Judaica. The Vulcan hand salute was derived by Leonard Nimoy from the priestly blessing performed by the Kohanim in Orthodox Judaism.
We learn that Noel Shempsky (Patrick Kerr) can speak Hebrew. In Season Six's Roz, a Loan (1998) we learn that he speaks Spanish. If you include Klingon, that means that Noel speaks four languages.
Noel (Patrick Kerr) agrees to help Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) translate a short speech into Hebrew and help him learn how to say it for Frederick's (Trevor Einhorn) Bar Mitzvah in exchange for a signed autograph of Scott Bakula, thus completing his Star Trek: Enterprise (2001) captains autograph collection. Kelsey Grammer also played a Starfleet captain. Grammer played Captain Morgan Bateson of the USS Bozeman in Cause and Effect (1992).
