Businessman Carl Baxter is considered to be a fair boss 364 days a year, but Christmastime seems to darken his mood and cause him to feel parsimonious toward his wife and office help. This change of heart seems to be linked to his estrangement from his son several years before. This year the sudden appearance of a Salvation Army worker in his office sets off a series of events that will make this Yule season an unusual one.
