A bit predictable yet still enjoyable

Charles Boyer stars in this episode of "Four Star Playhouse". He is a biologist named Robert who lives with his awful wife in Malaysia. One evening, he arrives home early to find his wife in the embrace of another man. Instead of confronting them, he bides his time. Soon after, he learns that his wife is NOT actually his wife--she was STILL married to a guy she claimed was dead but he's actually quite alive and living abroad. But he cannot just throw his wife out--as everyone there thinks their marriage is valid and PROVING they aren't married might be very difficult. So he comes up with a plan to expose her for the lying harpy that she really is--and his plan involves her telling everyone that she isn't really his wife! How? Watch the show.

This episode is more comedic than usual and the ending is predictable. But, because of the nice acting and enjoyability of the story, it really doesn't harm it that much. A very good example of the fine writing that still makes this show worth watching over 60 years later.
