Quotes
-
Barney Rubble : Hiya, Fred.
Fred Flintstone : Barney!
Barney Rubble : Was, uh, lonesome over on my stoop. Uh, do you mind?
Fred Flintstone : Be my guest, Barney-boy. My stoop is your stoop.
Barney Rubble : We wouldn't be out here unless we was both stupes.
-
Fred Flintstone : [about the amusement park] Well, do we go?
Wilma Flintstone : All right, I guess so.
Fred Flintstone : Swell, and, Wilma, start packing plenty of sandwiches, huh?
Wilma Flintstone : What? Fred, once, just once, will you try to forget that stomach of yours?
Barney Rubble : [laughs] That... That's asking him to forget an awful lot, Wilma.
-
Fred Flintstone : Okay, Barney, put the coin in.
Barney Rubble : Put the coin in? Why is it I'm always the one that puts the coin in things, Fred? You bashful or something?
Fred Flintstone : Of course not, Barney. It's just that I... uh... um... haven't got any small change.
Barney Rubble : Yeah, well, this is the sixth time today you didn't have any small change.
-
Fred Flintstone : [while driving home] Well, anyway, the girls won't be giving us any more of that ''I never get out of the house'' routine.
Barney Rubble : Oh, no, sir, not after that trip we took across the country.
[later, Fred arrives home]
Fred Flintstone : Wilma, I'm home! Boy, that dinner looks good. Brontosaurus stew, my favorite dish.
[the roof rises]
Fred Flintstone : WHAT? TONIGHT? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? WE ARE DEFINITELY NOT GOING OUT TONIGHT AND THAT'S FINAL!
[Fred takes his food and goes out to sit on his stoop]
Barney Rubble : [from his house] Tonight? Nothing doing, Betty, nothing doing! And that's final!
[Barney, carrying his food, joins Fred]
Barney Rubble : Betty was ironing all day...
Fred Flintstone : Say no more, Barney. So was Wilma. You know, Barney, there's something about ironing all day that brings out the worst in women.
Barney Rubble : Yeah, but even the worst is pretty good, huh, Fred?
Fred Flintstone : Yeah, bless their ''You never take me out anyplace'' little hearts.
