Cute episode

Warning: Spoilers
I like the episode because first Ray is selfish and throws a lame bachelor party. Then he throws another lame party. Of course Robert finds out and is sad and then Ray takes him out one on one and they of course bond. Look for Phil Rosenthal's dad and Ray Romano's real life dad and real life brother.

Robert's Bachelor party

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is from Sesaon 7 of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and originally aired in May 2003. Robert and Amy have finally gotten engaged, so it falls to Raymond to plan a bachelor party for him.

Ray believes Robert when he says he doesn't want anything special, so Ray just invites Gionni over to Robert's apartment. The 3 of them are playing poker in Robert's almost empty apartment that is packed up in boxes. It's a pretty sad scene. There's a knock at the door and Robert perks up and asks Ray "What did you guys do?". I guess he was thinking there was either a stripper knocking, or a bunch of people were going to jump in and yell surprise. Well, surprise, its the landlord showing a perspective tenant Robert's apartment.

When Ray gets back home, he gets blasted by Debra for not doing a better job and she tells Ray he has to do it over again. So this time, Ray rents Frank's lodge for the event and invites more people. But Ray doesn't realize the lodge lost their liquor license and the guests complain there is nothing to drink. Most of the people are the old cronies from Frank's lodge. Most of the humor from this episode is derived by making fun of old people. It was humorous, but some may find it offensive. The guy who is supposed to be on the lookout for Robert dozes off. The 2 guys who ordered the congrats sign put the name Woody on it - I guess because they are hard of hearing and thought that was what Ray said. Robert shows up and is surprised and touched that his brother went to so much trouble, He thinks the first party was a "decoy" that was meant to throw him off. Amy's brother blows that and tells him the women MADE Ray do it over. Ray lets Peter have it and Peter and his dad leave. Then Ray tells Robert they should get out of there and go to a bar, and they invite everyone to join them.

The episode ends with the boys showing back up at Ray's house having too much to drink. Marie thinks they are cute like that. Marie realizes Frank will show up at home loaded and "in the mood" and runs out the door.

This episode was okay but it didn't have many scenes with Debra, who I think adds most of the humor to the show.
