- Robert tells Amy about Stefania because he thinks they're meant to be. Another breakup.
- Robert Barone finds himself in the most unlikely position of having to choose one of three women-girlfriend Amy, ex-wife Joanne, or Italian bombshell Stefania - to share the future with him. Unfortunately, when he tells Amy about his recent reunion with ex-wife however, it all starts to come apart.
- Robert has been seeing his ex-wife Joanne (Suzie Plakson), so now with her, Amy (Monica Horan) and Stefania, three women are interested in Robert. Robert says that he is only talking to Stefania on the phone and argues that Joanne has changed a lot.
Ray and Frank tell him he has to choose. Frank asks Robert to choose the one who will take good care of him, cook for him, laugh at her jokes and share her good pillow with him. He decides that he and Amy are "meant to be". She has hips wide enough to bear his kids, she wants to have kids, he is the only one she has ever had sex with (so he can never disappoint her) and they make each other happy. Robert tells her the same at dinner. Ray and Frank had completely advised against telling Amy about Joanne and Stefania. Frank says that even when the women figure it out, the man should deny. Robert is not convinced by their arguments and decides to handle the situation with Amy on his own.
To start an honest relationship, he confesses about Joanne. Amy is livid that Robert has been talking to Joanne, behind her back, for over a month, about getting back together and now he is settling for Amy. Amy gets mad and leaves. Amy is so mad, that Robert decides not to say anything about Stefania. Back at home, Amy complains to Debra and Debra accidentally blurts out about Robert's relationship with Stefania in Italy, while he was on vacation. Robert comes in at the same time hoping to apologize to Amy. Amy breaks up with Robert (she slaps him, twice) and leaves, lamenting that she saved herself for Robert.
Debra calls Robert pathetic for trying to build his self-esteem by dating 3 women simultaneously. Debra is livid that first Robert was a pig in the first place, and then didn't even have the guts to tell Amy the complete truth. She says Robert was in a committed relationship with someone who loved him, and he blew it. Robert tells Debra that it is easy for her as she was the popular girl in school and probably juggled between 5-6 boys at the same time. Meanwhile Robert took his cousin Nelly to prom. Marie is angry with Robert as she knew Amy would give her more grand-kids. Marie wants Robert to apologize to Amy and make things right again. Robert refuses and says that its his life and he will live it the way he wants.
Robert then tries to patch-up with Joanne. He tells her that they are "meant to be" and offers to take her to the movies or miniature golf to start things back up. But Joanne is not interested in a serious relationship as she just wants a sexual relationship with him. They break-up too as Robert is adamant that he is not available for a booty call.
He tries calling Amy to make up, but she repeatedly hangs up on him. In desperation he calls Stefania in Italy, but her father tells him to drop dead.
