- John falls for a stewardess and shows his stuff when a passenger has a heart attack; later, he tries to date her. The firefighters respond to a motorcycle accident and a chemical fire.
- Roy and John are on a return flight to Los Angeles when John meets and falls for a stewardess, during the flight one of the passengers suffers from a heart attack, and the paramedics retrieve their equipment from the cargo bay (while speaking with Rampart from 30,000 feet) to help the victim, after landing John tries to get a date with the stewardess. The firemen assist a victim of a motorcycle accident and of a chemical fire, while Dixie and Dr. Early treats a young man with broken ribs, who later has epilepsy.—Gary Richard Collins II (brothergaryii@gmail.com)
- Roy and Johnny attend a seminar on Fire Safety and they put on a demonstration in Sacramento. Returning home on Flight # 219, Trans-California Airway, Roy watches the in-flight movie as Johnny flirts with a pretty, no-nonsense stewardess, Susan Hickman. Sue thinks Johnny may be just another Good Time Charlie, full of hot air... until one of her passengers goes into full cardiac arrest. Then, she sees the young paramedic in action: before and after they locate the drug box, defibrillator and other equipment. Back at Rampart, Roy teases Johnny about not getting Sue's telephone number; Johnny's lack of prowess with women is legendary. When Roy learns Sue asked Johnny for HIS number, Roy feels old and left out: no woman has ever asked Roy for his number. Engine 51 and the squad help with a young man who lost control over his motorcycle and was badly injured. A snotty onlooker "knows" it was drug related; kindly Dr. Early diagnoses an epileptic seizure and blackout and gives the young man some options, including a healthy dose of hope. A multi-alarm fire and explosion involving the LA Fire Chief, Battalion 14, Squad 51 and Engines 8, 11, 51 and 63 erupts at an industrial complex where several different types of chemical solvents are stored in tanks. Cap Stanley is hurt when an explosion hurls him into a pile of foam. Dating a stewardess is hard work. Johnny is miffed; he and Sue have so much in common but she is SO bossy. In Johnny-speak, this could mean Sue has her own opinions and is not afraid to voice them. It could also mean Sue is better at some things - like bowling - than Johnny.—LA-Lawyer
