Robert Fuller in Emergency! (1972)

Goofs

Emergency!

Edit

Continuity

When Dr. Early is examining a patient's eyes, we see a magnified view of one eye with the tear duct on the right. When the doctor informs the patient he will check the other eye, we see another magnified view of the eye. But the tear duct is still on the right. It should be on the opposite side, meaning the same shot is used for both eyes. Also, in both shots we see a bright white light reflecting off the eyeball. But the instrument the doctor is using only contains an ultraviolet ("black") light.
Shortly after station leaves on the first run the squads rims are red. During a right hand turn the squad is shown in front. The right rear wheel has a white rim. The next shot shows the squad passing the camera and the rim is red again.

Factual errors

Brackett and others say he was bitten by the catfish. Catfish have barbs near their "whiskers", it would've been more correct to say he was stung by one of its barbs, not bitten.

Revealing mistakes

After Dr. Brackett is stung by the fish, he proceeds to go and examine a patient. However, he never washes his hands, especially after being exposed to the venom of the fish he's been stung by.

Character error

When calling Captain Stanley, Roy DeSoto calls, "Squad 51, this is Engine 51." Roy and John are Squad 51, and Captain Stanley is part of Engine 51.
